I mean we host TS on the same server we host the game servers on, so the only outlay is the licence which we have a dedicated donation drive for.

I think the only time discord makes sense for us is if we totally stop wanting to host game servers at all, if you want the ability to host game servers then the ability to host TS is a bonus.

Maybe move the logo over to the left a bit to line up with the body of the forum, the way the right side of the menu does.

I like the new look though.

Can we change the forum button in the menu to link to /forums/index so it shows the boards, as the forum button only shows the most recent topics at the moment.

this one changes the USMC as well causing no identification issues with colour i mentioned that above :)

I know there would be no confusion if everyone was able to get used to the changes, however my comparison was between the Japanese green fatigues in the mutator being visually similar to the US green fatigues in vanilla, which can cause problems for new players to the server, or people who generally dont play with the mutator and then join a server with these changes. If there was a large enough Australian RS population we might be able to overcome such barriers, by having enough people to consistently play with the mutator, but at the moment a different aussie server can be populated every night.

There will be a group of people that WILL have issues surrounding accidental TKs and other stuffs ups then end up leaving, the aussie community is to small for us to take that hit in pop. We cant make it up with other players who are able to persevere because there just arent enough players in our geographic area.

Perhaps if this had come a few years ago it would be more viable to trial these things, but the game is winding down, especially now that RS2 is just around the corner. Like, we fielded HotW as a dedicated server, and on particular nights, but the community is just to small for us to be able to do stuff like that.

From my experience with this it does tend to increase accidental TKs on the Japanese side and people second guessing their shots on the US side, its hard for people to transition from playing on vanilla servers where the US uniform is quite similar to the Japanese one in the mutator.

It might be okay for servers that can field a large regular crowd, but I think the Australian community is to transient for the above not to be an issue. Usually there is only one populated server and it can rotate around, meaning that no one would really get used to the changes the mutator makes.

Cheers for the suggestion though.

Hope you and the other blokes swing by for a chat.

If you have a problem with a staff member you should have a quiet word to nem, he wont know there may be problems if no one talks about it with him.

We've had problems with admins before (professionalism) which resulted in a purge, so its not like we're not open to dealing with legitimate problems within staff.

Anyways, get my steam off ingo if you're ever keen for a game or a chat.

STORY GUIDELINE for SERVER ROLEPLAY
Work in Progress

The Government of Tanoa has formally requested assistance from the Commonwealth of Australia after civil unrest on the island nation.
Australia has sent Police Forces and Medics to manage the civilian population of Tanoa, and Peacekeepers to manage the rebel insurgent problem.

The Rebels want to overthrow the government and replace them. Their ambition to lead the country means they must keep the civilian population onside, therefore they restrict their activities to be solely against Government forces.
They generally leave the police forces alone to manage crime within the civilian population, but will defend themselves if attacked.

The Police are for civilian management and crime mitigation. Their mission is to enforce the local laws and engage with the civilian population. Civilian engagement is crucial, they have the ability to provide crucial intelligence on rebel insurgent movements that can be passed on to the Peacekeeping forces.
